I completely agree with you especially with the image that the Smith's have tried so hard to put out into the world. They have always tried to portray themselevs as 'woke' people who can rise above the constraints of regular marriage and parenting, and while I don't agree with Rock's joke nothing justifies that violent response. He has tarnished the 'enlightened' image for himself and his whole family with that reaction.
